PIANO NUMBERING
Now, let me show you how to find the
middle C, before you play your first masterpiece. The “C” nearest to the centerline of your piano is
called your “MIDDLE C “. WOW! How will I know that? Just divide your piano equally into two. The first C-key, that you
see nearest from the center’s imaginary line, either to its left or right, is the middle “C”. If you don’t still get it,
ask your mom or dad. I know they can figure it out for you.
Look at the piano as shown in the diagram.
The piano is divided equally into two. You see this from the number of white keys on this example. From the red centerline,
there are 14 keys to the right and 14 keys to the left. The first key near the red centerline, which is to its right, is
the middle C. It is also represented as number 1. The remaining white keys are 2,3,4,5,6,7 and
all 7 numbers are actually your musical notes … Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So, La, Ti.
