RIGHT HAND POSITIONING Since you know your middle C now, place your right hand thumb on this key. Let the remaining four fingers fall naturally on the next four white keys as shown in the drawing. Your right hand will be playing notes one after another. One at a time, PLAY each key once with your fingers respectively. 1 ..2 ..3 ..4 ..5 Do this again. 1 ..2 ..3 ..4 ..5 One more time. 1 ..2 ..3 ..4 ..5 Good job ! Play your notes backward 5 4 3 2 1 Do it again. Play it slow. 5 4 3 2 1 One more time. Play it out of order. 1 4 .3 .5 ..2 Ooops your fingers are getting out of way .. hahahaha dont worry this is just natural for first timers. Just play the white keys the way your fingers tell you. Trust you ears, it will tell you if you pressed a key right or not. Your right hand will start playing a melody which will be now pleasing to your ears. This is a concept we call learning piano by ears. |
